Despite my earlier reservations, I think it looks good, I particularly like the Country Broadband logo, it looks like mount Fuji in drought. :D And well done for reserving that name, surprizing it was not already taken.
I also like the character, he looks like a "country boy" and not some latte drinking city slicker come to set the bush right
The flash cards I find appealing for a 30sec. spot, there is currently a low budget ad for TAFE, running down here on the sth. coast, that utilizes little more than a female character turning over a changing flash card, it is strangely compelling, as I hope this one is for exetel.

soz, didn't note the channel.
I'm near Newcastle, so it was probably one of NBN, Prime or Southern Cross...If I see it again I'll post the Channel / Time etc......

Can Exetel post the final cut here? I don't see WIN or PRIME so not likely to see it live.
The views I present are that of my own and NOT of any organisation I may belong to.

Try installing the CCCP to get the needed codecs for playback:

VLC, gxine, totem, mplayer; 4 different codec libraries, and they are all good. Now that it's on Youtube you can see it in flash. If you have ffmpeg you can convert it to any format you like.

In that case you'll love the CCCP:

Sigh.... you Windows blokes. You handicap yourselves. Any half decent Linux media installation has a codec and protocol list that runs over pages. Some of these goodies are available for Windows as well. ffmpeg -formats should open a few eyes, and for extras there are the vlc, gstreamer and xine libraries, with mencoder gathering up up everything from Microsoft to finish off. As I write I am playing the Exetel commercial over and over as a full screen background, and simultaneously converting it into two other formats.
