Fix IP address of wireless connections...

Post by Lithic » Tue Apr 28, 2015 1:13 pm

Hi,

This isn't so much a technical support question but a more general technical question.

I have the Exetel-recommended NB6W wireless modem. I recall once being able to set it up so that specific devices that connect wirelessly always have the same local IP address. I now can't recall, however, what option in the MODEM dashboard provides this functionality? (I know I can do this from the other side on some devices but want to manage this from within the modem to prevent conflicts).

So, for example, I want my wireless printer to always use 192.168.1.250, the NAS to use 192.168.1.249, the laptop to use 192.168.1.248 and so on.

Thanks in advance!

On page 57 on in the NB6 user manual (DHCP Server). There's a button there for reserving IP addresses, by MAC address of the device.
