Problem seems to be with a supplier IP transit.

We have investigated and identified the source of the cause of the outage.

The outage was caused by a one of the supplier domestic peering links injecting the global routing table into the Exetel network through this domestic path, causing massive congestion and black holing of networks that were not meant for that specific traffic path.

We have applied new filters in place to automatically disable this path should this ever occur again.
