Unplanned ADSL Network Outage - Multiple Suburbs, NSW

Location Affected: Multiple Suburbs, NSW

Event Start : 16-10-2017

Products Impacted: ADSL

Additional Information: Most customers in the above mentioned area may experience connectivity issues.

Root cause : Still Investigating

Estimated Resolution : Our wholesale supplier is unable to provide us with an estimated time of resolution.

Once the outage has been restored kindly power cycle your modem/ router and test the service.

Update:

Outage is still ongoing. Supplier engineers have already cleared the tunnels and testing is ongoing.

ETR (Estimated time of resolution): Our wholesale supplier is unable to provide us with an ETR.

Exetel apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Exetel has put in a temporary fix.

I am sorry for the lack of updates on this, it is unacceptable.

Update:

A temporary fix has been applied which resulted most services to be restored .

However the root cause of the service issue is still being investigated.

We will provide an update once available.

Apologize regrading the inconvenience caused.

Supplier engineers are still working on a permanent fix and the root cause of the service issue is still being investigated.

We will provide the next update once available.

If the services are not working after the temporally fix has been applied, power reboot the modems and check the service.

Exetel apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
