I have noticed that new plans (OT**) for Optus ADLS2+ were released on 1/09/10 but they are not yet available in member facilities.

When will those be accessible from member facilities?

On the main page, the scrolling specials list proclaims "Free Wireless Broadband with every ADSL2 connection".

Clicking on "More" takes you to http://www.exetel.com.au/wireless-special-100526.php, which states "No Charge Wireless Broadband Service"

Clicking on "Click here to view the plan prices" = http://www.exetel.com.au/adsl2-wireless-special.php : this returns a "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /adsl2-wireless-special.php on this server."

Hi Yuri,

I can't find these links on the main page? Can you give me the link to the page that contains these links?

Hi Shady

You click on the "More" link under the scrolling specials list "Free Wireless Broadband with every Optus ADSL2 connection" on the left :D

Sorry, should've been more specific......

1. Go to http://exetel.com.au.
2. Click on "Residential" - top left in the clouds. http://www.exetel.com.au/res_main.php opens.
3. Left side of Page under "Current Specials". The "Current Specials" box scrolls every five seconds or use left/right arrow.
4. "Free Wireless Broadband with every ADSL2 connection" appears. Click "More".
5. http://www.exetel.com.au/wireless-special-100526.php opens, stating "No Charge Wireless Broadband Service"
6. Clicking on "Click here to view the plan prices" = http://www.exetel.com.au/adsl2-wireless-special.php : this returns a "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /adsl2-wireless-special.php on this server."

It's ok, I found it. It should be updated now.

Unfortunately Shady, "Specials" is in a Flash object. It doesn't display at all on many browsers, even with a Flash plugin active. This was all covered when the Flash controversy was on a couple of years ago. It would be better if a non-flash format were used somewhere else as well.

I actually had the same idea a while back but never got around to it. I will look into making Jquery specials section over the weekend.

As per viewtopic.php?f=293&t=36877&start=0 (or better still, viewtopic.php?p=281279#p281279), the user facility "Change service" pages do not list off-peak times. This can could be (as has been, in the case of that thread) construed as deceptive.

Also, the table after clicking apply (at least on the AAA change plans for me) doesn't have table headers aligning properly ("Included Downloads" should be replicated, once for peak and once for off-peak).

This is what I posted there:
This was not meant to "con" people. We removed it because we have a lot of pages we need to update with the new peak and offpeak times every time there is a plan change. Sometimes pages would be accidentally missed and it was causing even more problems with people accusing us of "false" advertising or in this case "conning". These are human errors and we try to avoid them by centralizing the information.

We have in-depth information about these plans and everything else on our main website. That is the information website. The Members Facilities is there to give you the ability to modify your services.

I will think of something to avoid this in the near future but please bear with us.
I have fixed those headers.

Inconsistent Pricing Definition on Change Service Commit Page

In 'User Facilities' under 'Change Service' the 'Monthly Access Charge' prices do not match those on the 'confirmation page' under its' 'Monthly Access Charge' column.

Here are images of what I'm talking about:

Change Service Page: /members/change_service_plan.php

Image: http://imgur.com/VrYFU.png

The user then clicks apply and the following page is displayed.

Confirmation Page: /members/service_change_plan_adsl2.php

Image: http://imgur.com/2dtKh.png

As you can see, there appears to be some confusion over the definition of 'Access Charge' between the two pages.

Wow, fast work.

How long until you change the OT* plans on member facilities to the new OT*C plans from the front page?
