NEW Members Facilities Frontpage

Post by Shady » Fri Nov 28, 2008 12:17 pm

Hi Everyone,

There is a new Members Facilities frontpage available. I would like for you users to test it out and make any suggestions:

You can view it here:

Looks good.

I'm seeing some strangeness wrt the 'Voice Meter' though...

I'm on 'INCPHONE Z' and on the new front page I'm given the option of clicking the button to 'View' the Voice Meter for my number. This takes me to a corrupt looking page.
If I log into another account (which I look after) who is also on INCPHONE Z, I'm not given the option of viewing the voice meter at all.

Matt.

Edit: On closer inspection it isn't a problem with the new front page. I see the same strangeness when attempting to access the wireline meter through the menu.
Edit 2: I've found that with my account, if I click 'unbilled charges' in the menu, my telephone number is listed twice. If I click view for the 1st instance of it I'm shown the proper list of calls. If I click view for the 2nd instance of it I'm taken to the corrupt page which says "There is no telephone record for 02nnnnnnnn." Should I worry?

Hi Matt, It doesn't appear that you have a VoIP service. Can you PM me the actual number your testing it on so I can check that for you?

I like the look and feel, would be nice if each summary section was linked to the applicable full section, don't know if that's possible but it would be convenient :)

what about HSPA & ADSL services?

I know that the accounts must be linked somehow because invoicing is across the account, and I can view my VoIP usage from both the ADSL & HSPA account, but it would be nice to be able to log into one account, and be able to see all my service totals.
Tristan.

Hi Shady

I like it :D

Except for (you knew that was coming, didn't you? ) ...

It doesn't fit in my screen resolution of 1024 x 768. Well if I scroll right a bit so the grey outside border at the left margin can't be seen any more, then it fits perfectly. I hate having to scroll right :? and if I increase my resolution any more I'll go totally blind. Can you just lose the grey outside border?

Edit I just saw the other thread on this (I'll close it and refer to this one - two threads on the same topic is one too many :)). Anyway, my width issue is identical to this post on the other thread - you posted there that you couldn't understand what the problem is, hopefully you now see the light  I agree with the sentiments expressed in this post - please don't make the minimum any more than 1024 x 768.

Gidget, considering how many screens run at your resolution (including most live recovery CDs), I sympathise with you. Yes, I'm trying to recover a wrecked system drive from a live CD in 1024x768 at this moment. So, for a diversion, I just interposed a style sheet to do what you want - it wasn't pretty. So I changed the style sheet to put the sections one under the other - that wasn't pretty either. First impression is that Shady will have some work to fit it all in at lower resolution without ruining the readability or making the page scroll down too far. Even so, it is worth a try. Just moving the whole thing to the left would help on small screen widths

The "Customer Usage Query" on the "home" page at the bottom no longer works. Clicking the "search" button does absolutely nothing!

Using SeaMonkey as my web browser on FreeBSD. Also tried Firefox on Mac OS X.

Thanks Dazzled :D Moving the whole page "stage left" would certainly help (if the grey margins can't be scrapped altogether).

Cheers

Interesting... It looks OK layout wise for me (no horizontal scroll needed as I have a 1680x1050 laptop even though I do not use the full width for my browser window).

The only oddities are:

1) Mobile Meter: Your call record usage has not been updated yet

I don't have a mobile service with Exetel (or anyone else for that matter)

2) Voice Meter: You currently do not have a Wire Line service.

As I am on an IncPhone plan, shouldn't I have a Wire Line service? Admittedly I have not made any calls this month...
