Detailed Usage chart is saying I have 2am/2pm offpeak

Post by scottb721 » Sun Jun 07, 2009 12:41 pm

Here's what it says,
Your Usage From June, 2009
All figures are in megabytes (ie: 75.50 = seventy five and a half megabytes). Uploads are not counted towards your download allowance in either period and are shown for interest only.

Offpeak Period: 2:00 pm to 2:00 am Peak Period: 2:00 am to 2:00 pm
Date Upload Download Upload Download
01/June/2009 4.70 MB 40.57 MB 14.26 MB 146.00 MB

yet, at 12:40 pm, the Members Summary page is saying I'm "currently being metered as peak usage".

What's the go ?

I presume that you have elected to have an off-peak period from 2 am to 2 pm?

In this case, your Usage Meter is giving you the correct usage results.

As the ability to change off-peak time has only recently been implemented, I expect that the script on the summary page hasn't yet been updated to reflect the different periods applicable to individual customers.

I'll alert Exetel to this anomaly.

This has been fixed - can you please advise if you have any further issues with the display? (I haven't changed my off-peak from the default times so the summary display has always looked okay for me :D )

Thankyou. Yes, I had changed it to 2pm switch.

Some seem to think the new times weren't being started until July.

Cheers

Not fixed. The Summary page is still stating,

Usage Meter Server Time is 2009-06-08 12:24:29 PM.
Downloads are currently being metered as peak usage.

I am up early, cant sleep, went to see how my usage was going and was intrigued, confused even lol about my usage for this morning, I have used megs on both peak and off peak for today, only prob is it is only 4am, so def not in peak period for the 11th. What gives? Is the meter still having a stress prob? Update, it may be because it is going til 2am for peak, that could explain it......am I correct in this thinking? Or am I getting very tired and need to go back to bed

Your offpeak time is from 2am - 2pm. The reset of time is peak period. The breakdown time is:
00:00 - 02:00 - Peak usage
02:00 - 14:00 - Offpeak usage
14:00 - 24:00 - Peak usage

This is why you have both peak and offpeak usage at 4am(0-2 for peak; 2-4 for offpeak).

Thanks Raymond and Gidget.

I've just checked and I'm still getting the following info,

"Usage Meter Server Time is 2009-06-14 01:32:06 PM.
Downloads are currently being metered as peak usage."

Yet my detailed usage says, as per my OP,

"Peak Period: 2:00 pm to 2:00 am"

i'm from similar issue from this thread: http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.ph ... 96#p247696

But i have a little different problem.

i requested the time change, which didn't happen on the very first day, and started appearing after a week tht my peak timings are changed.
And all of a sudden, my Downloads in peak hour increased from 2.36gb to 7.40 gb.

I have been trying to explain this again and again, to exetel support, but no one understands it, and says you r being charge correctly. and also, currently it that my off peak timings are 2am to 2pm, but at the bottom of the usage meter it says at 1pm my downloads are being metered as peak hour.

This is the same issue that scottb721 has reported, and which I have been trying to get fixed.

If Raymond doesn't respond to scottb721's most recent post tomorrow I'll chase up the issue for you both again.

And also, as the changes didn't took place from very first day, therefore i would request that the offpeak timings remain from 12am to 12pm for this month.

thnx
