i am haivng the same problem. i started my automatic downloading around 2AM and i noticed around 2:30-2:45 my peak data was increased by 760MB which it should come up under off peak. i think after around 3AM it started counting as off peak.
the usage meter says i have already used up 60% of my peak limit so far. This is very unusal. i am not doing anything differnt from previous month.
i have logged a call to helpdesk as well.
Exetel please look into this issue. after the recent changed from 1st Aug, i hav started seing this unusaly usage in my peak data.

If anyone else has the same problem with their incorrect peak usage meter since the changed of peak download then they should notify Exetel the fault, so Exetel know its a global problem and not just an invidual problem. Because when i 1st raised the issue, one of the developer replied and said that it was i that been doing all the peak download.

I am glad I am not the only one having this problem. I have been chasing this issue since last Wednesday, Ticket number 1532595.

unbeliveable i just got a email from Exetel and they still insist there is nothing wrong with my peak download, i think they dont know how to fix it more like it. How can there is nothing wrong when there are many others has the same problem? i felt like i've been robbed. Does anyone else got robbed by Exetel?

Can I ask to all those who say their usage meter is wrong: It is just the summary usage meter? Or is the detailed usage meter out as well?

Both Summary and Detail.

Summary is where I first noticed the problem. Peak usage is usually about 20 to 30% by this time of month. This month peak usage is already up to 80%.

Detail usage problem
On the 5/08/09 after 2:00 AM I manually downloaded about 170MB. I then turned off all computers for the remainder of the Off Peak. My Off Peak usage for the entire day was 2.56Mb. The 170MB was accumulated to the Peak usage which was 508MB.

I have asked the following question 3 times with no answer.

"Why was the 170MB not accumulated to the Off Peak?"

I have provide all the actions I took on that night including snap shots of the detailed usage at each point. I also checked the usage meter was reporting off peak before I downloaded. All this information has already been provided in the ticket 1532595.

Just like what AndyMac said, its both, here is my download summary.
Offpeak Period: 2:00 am to 2:00 pm Peak Period: 2:00 pm to 2:00 am

Date Upload Download Upload Download

01/August/2009 283.99 MB 2605.71 MB 2.73 MB 24.67 MB
02/August/2009 358.06 MB 3648.96 MB 2.79 MB 16.10 MB
03/August/2009 63.80 MB 510.86 MB 7.01 MB 84.81 MB
04/August/2009 497.21 MB 4610.09 MB 31.92 MB 279.86 MB
05/August/2009 359.89 MB 1001.25 MB 5.66 MB 37.79 MB
06/August/2009 257.06 MB 2154.14 MB 13.51 MB 94.58 MB
07/August/2009 512.29 MB 3970.70 MB 92.58 MB 763.36 MB
08/August/2009 584.87 MB 2839.09 MB 14.15 MB 35.15 MB
09/August/2009 608.29 MB 4165.67 MB 4.68 MB 2.46 MB
10/August/2009 299.45 MB 3238.10 MB 1.58 MB 8.78 MB
11/August/2009 412.97 MB 1364.11 MB 0.07 MB 0.07 MB
Total: 4237.88 MB 30108.68 MB 176.68 MB 1347.63 MB

As you can see on the 4 and 7 of August a big jump in peak download. I normally dont even reach 100mb per day during peak. On the 4th it was 279Mb which i let it go but then 763mb on the 7 that was when i logged a fault. Since then i monitor my usage every day at least 3 times a day, morning afternoon and night. This morning the 11 of August it showed 12MB during peak, at 1054am i checked its 0.07MB, explain that? Obviously there is an error in the usage meter but the developers havent pin point the fault as yet. I've lost nearly 1G already and it has only been 11 days for this month, i bet my peak download will rack up more as the days goes by until this is fix.

Finally i've got an replied from Exetel via SMS. There were errors in their script and they have made corrections to the scripts, i was told the usage will be recorded correctly as of today. Let see if the script work hey?

Thank you for the fixed Exetel and words of advise. Do me a favour and listen to what the users has to say and take the time to
investigate the inquiry.Dont be so quick to think there is nothing wrong with your system and assume its the user's doing.

I tested Off Peak Download from 2:00AM to 3:00AM. It is sort of back to normal.
Off Peak Download 221MB
Peak Download 5MB

Actually now the Peak seems very low, I played Medal of Honour 3 until 1:00AM. So I would have thought Peak would be up in the 20-30MB range.

Depends what game. But generally, no. Run a network monitor (like Task manager: Ctrl+Shift+Esc, Networking tab, View, Select Columns, Bytes received + Byte Sent) to measure it while playing.

Hi, it's the first day of the month 01/09/09 and I have supposedly racked up 280mb of peak usage, before the 12pm peak usage period for this month started.

Image

I'm in Queensland - there's no day light savings on at the moment, and we can see from my admin page we're in sync.

This isn't going on everyday is it? If so, it would explain why my last month 12gb peak is 2gb+ over and I may be billed for the extra.

The only thing I've had running after 12pm today 01/09/09 is my thunderbird email program and utorrent (seeding non-copyright anti-nwo uploads only).

What were you doing between midnight and 2AM today? Remember, the day is now split three ways - 2 hrs peak, 10 hrs off peak, 12 hr peak.
