ADSL Usage Warning not working?

Post by ottyacat » Wed Apr 14, 2010 7:23 pm

Hi,

I think the ADSL Usage waring emails are not working.

Yesterday i needed to download something quickly so overrided my scheduled downloads to run but then forgot about it

Several hrs later i had downloaded 12 Gig in the peak period which pushed my usage over 90%. Oh well my fault but i still havent received any usage warnings a day later.

Can someone please check this function is working ok? Not so much for my self i am always logging into the usefacilities but for the many clients who rely on the warnings to slow down.

Cheers

BUMP!

Has anyone had a look at this issue yet?

Im up to about 130% over my peak quota with no warning emails sent. Again not a problem for my self as i check the u/f all the time. However i have now had 2 clients complain that they have gone over their allowance with no warning. When people get used to the automated warning they just expect them to always work and not check their U/F manually.

In one case a client complained directly to support who have credited them 50% of the overcharge which was unexpected and keep them happy, but they still did not make any reference to fixing the actual problem.

Any chance you could get someone to have another look at this if they haven't done so already.

All the best.

I didn't know there were usage warning emails, are they automatic? or do I have to turn them 'on' somewhere?

You turn them on in the member facilities under "Information From Exetel"
