Testing Required for the New Members
Testing Required for the New Members
We require our users to test the new Members Facilities as it will be put up by close of business tomorrow.
It is still being worked on so there are a few things wrong here and there. Please let us know if you find any issues.

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
checking it out right now

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
There are a few bugs Shady; I've sent a PM. Could we avoid revisiting login hangups by copying the coding finally adopted in http://www.exetel.com.au/index_alt.php please?
Re: Testing Required for the New Members
In the Services bar every service type has tabs linking 'change plan' and so on, except ADSL.
To change ADSL service the only link is via the Usage bar.
When you go from Usage to Wireless Broadband the page style is old version.
Otherwise I like it.

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
Maybe intentional
Usage --> Wireless Broadband takes you the old member facilites with a zero meter reading --> https://www.exetel.com.au/members/hspa_ ... ce_number=
It is looking awesome.

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
Apart from the items mentioned above, it all looks great.
Minor minor thing, and this is purely me being pedantic: The hover style for selected main menu items is a little inconsistent: Select, say, Usage > ADSL and wait for the page to load; the "Usage" is light grey with no arrow indicator. Then hover on Usage and it goes to dark with an arrow. Then hover on the sub menu, say, ADSL and the Usage goes back to light grey with no arrow while the ADSL goes dark grey. Then hover on the Wireless Broadband sub menu and the ADSL goes back to light grey.
I reckon making selected main menu hovers retain the light grey with an indicator arrow and selected sub menu hovers retain a light grey (and no indicator arrow) would lead to better consistency.
One other potential suggestion (not sure how feasible) might be to reduce the number of options in the Services and Usage menus and not display links to services that the user does not have, though this would naturally hit the database a lot more. Perhaps make the Service and Usage menu option clickable and transfer to a page that lists only those services that the user does have?

Shady is looking into the consistency.
RE your 2nd suggestion, thank you but we can't do this.
Re: Testing Required for the New Members
Under View detaailed Current Months Usage the totals highlighted in Bold Red are to my eye very difficult to read.
In the middle of my testing get not on this server etc etc cannot get anywhere.
Will try again later

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
The alternate login page, after much effort, was made to work long ago when Flash was the problem. Now the alt page sends me off to the new login page, which doesn't work! Please use the same form code as before. The user facility is no longer available to me - all pages redirect to a faulty login.
At present JL's blog, the forum, and the user facility all have defective login pages which trouble browsers which fill in form elements. The blog and forum cannot be entered at all, even by typing, on some browsers.

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
Am I not looking in the right place?
Where do I find my IP address and change IP address details?

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
O.K.
I can get to the View/Change IP page from the Site map
the URL is https://www.exetel.com.au/members/account_change_ip.php
but this is not available from the menu - My Details?

Re: Testing Required for the New Members
On page https://www.exetel.com.au/members/a_network.php the buttons labelled "View" appear to have lost their links to the forum topic, with the exception of the button for "Download Speed"
Re: Testing Required for the New Members
heres one, in the https://www.exetel.com.au/members/chang ... e_plan.php to change ADSL service it shows the service (or plans) to apply for but in the status of change tab, https://www.exetel.com.au/members/relocation_status.php it shows relocation change pending not plan/service change pending.
i only noticed this as i have a plan change pending and cant locate the status anywhere. (knowing it wont happen till the start of the new month)
