problem sending international fax via email

Post by applesplats » Mon Dec 03, 2007 8:13 pm

hi,
i've tried sending several faxes to new zealand, following your instructions exactly, but all have failed.

example:

to: 0011 64 7(area code minus the '0') 855XXXX@fax.exemail.com.au
subject: password

then i've tried attaching pdf, word doc and then just writing a message in the 'body' of the email.

help?

I cannot see the number to NZ. Can you please send an email to williamm@exetel.com.au with your service number. We will check for you.

Hi appleslats,

I'm still looking into it.

No offense, I appreciate the feedback and don't mind solving issues when they arise but please give me sometime as Exetel does have multiple projects running at one time, plus factor in eating and sleeping there is only so much one can do so responses may be delayed.

So a little patience. Please.

Thanks Will

Hi,

I've just sent you a reply email, but essentially I was just inquiring whether or not the fax was landscape or portrait.

Thanks Will

Post by daveb » Sat Dec 22, 2007 4:12 pm

I am having the same problem sending fax to the US I can't see that I'm doing anything wrong but I keep getting failure messages.

What needs to be done?

Thanks

What number did you put in?

It should be like "001118889990000".

It is possible Exetel could add another "approved" the fax number format to international format (e.g. 617xxxxxxxx for Qld fax, etc).

(Like what was done for sms messages).

I cannot find this destination number. Two questions:
1. Is it real number that you have sent but failed?
2. Have you registed this service using your email?
