I understand Brisbane DIDs will become available next week?
Can you advise status on new range of DIDs and fax-to-email, please?

Hi Hornet,

I have put up the application form, though there are only a limited number of DID numbers available at the moment.

Ideally I would have waited till more were available but the service has now been made available.

Thanks Will

Hi Will,

Thanks. I have applied for a service.

Although I'd prefer a QLD number, I have applied for a Sydney number for now.

Any idea when Brisbane DID's might become available?

I too have applied for one today.
Can the DID be changed to a Melb number when available?
Regards
Anne

Will,

Can you indicate how long it might be before we can expect a confirming email for the application?

Hi Hornet,

It should be instant like the noodles or close too.
I've checked our records and haven't been able to identify any order recorded.

Can I get you to re-apply?
I've registered for a service under my own account and have successfully registered.

Thanks Will

Hi Will,

I applied and this time received an email confirming my application.

On my previous attempt, the order confirmation ("Your order has been submitted") screen only showed for a couple of seconds and then was gone.

This time it remained and I printed a copy of it.

Cool.

You should be able to send/receive a fax immediately.

Will,

I have sent a few faxes to test my new DID.

My results so far:

1. Fax sent thru exemail - failed - due to invalid destination (I used 612xxxxxxxx phone number).

2. Fax sent thru another service - successful.

3. Fax sent thru normal telephone line - successful.

4. Fax sent thru exemail - successful.

btw I received the required emails but the actual time of receipt was 20 min later than their time stamp (I think this is gmail's fault).

btw2 Only the fax sent using Exetel results in a page of less size than an A4 page.

I just re-registered which worked ok this time & have tried to send a couple of faxes.
They seem to have been sent ok, but have not been forwarded to my email address.

Fax to email no is 02 8205 3914

May I ask how you re-registered? I have been having fax problems (now probably acknowledged by Daniel's post - http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=24820)
but I still wish to know how to re-register or choose a new number. Do you just select a new one which automatically cancels the old one? I can't see any option to de-register a fax number.

There does not appear to be any numbers to choose from in the order form. Can you tell us when you will be adding more?

At the moment I do not have a concrete date/time of when they will be available, but we do have a current pending order for more to be allocated.

The availability of new numbers shouldn't take more than a couple days.

Thanks Will
