Fax NoGo
Fax NoGo
Hi
We have started using email2fax:
1. First fax successfully sent was charged at $0.33 cents? Advertised rate is 3 cents.
2. As we are Business we have tried sending multiple faxes, as per spec, (3) first 1 success, (10) for 2nd trial, not one was sent successfully?
3. Good inititive Email2Fax service, Please get it right. We will be sending hundreds of Faxes / month. But it MUST be a service that can be relied upon.
Patiently, waiting for the Sun

I now have a Fax2Email number, I want to be able to set up the 'return fax' number for Email2Fax to this number -- therefore the 'station id' should present with 'my' new Fax2Email number.
Can this be done?
Edit: It would be good if the sending email also had the facility to have it's own sender id for each fax.

Hi Rocket,
I've been looking at the email2fax server, and there was an issue with the configuration that has now been fixed. If you can send a couple of test jobs and then let us know the numbers that you sent to, I can verify in the logs whether or not they succesfully were sent.
Having said that, I am 100% confident that the issue is fixed now, so you should have no problem.

Daniel C

Actually the FAQ says that PDF should work:
What formats can the attachments be?
Currently the following formats that can be sent through are .doc (Word Document), .gif(Image), .jpeg(Image), .png(Image) .xls(Excel Spreadsheet), .ppt(Powerpoint Presentation), .pdf(Portable Document Format) or .html.
However, I got a failure trying to send a PDF....

Yes I am actually trying to send a PDF email2fax to my fax2email service as a test.William M wrote:Could please clarify your question? PDF attachments are sent through for email2fax.Affinity wrote:What is the chance of allowing PDF attachments for outgoing faxes?
Of all the document formats, PDF is meant to be the most portable.
Your email to fax has failed due to invalid fax attachment
Possible solutions:
- Send file in a different format. .JPEG -> .GIF
- Send file in a different format. .EMAIL -> .DOC
- Ensure that the area code is included in the destination fax number. Eg "02"
Destination: 039012nnnn
