Email to fax not working?

Hi there
Firstly, I'm new to this forum stuff so apologies up front if I'm not quite in the right place, or should be in another topic stream.
I registered my exemail address for the email to fax yesterday afternoon and have been trying to send a fax to my local football club's fax machine. I haven't been receiving any confirmation emails back to say it worked or it didn't work. Also, in my mmber facilities section on the exetel site, it shows no faxes sent. I have checked I am formatting the email correctly and it all looks OK. I have not been able to check if the faxes actually arrived as there would not be anyone at the club house yet.
I'm trying to send a PDF file created from MS Excel 2007 using the Save As PDF option.
Could you please suggest where I can look/go for help to figure out why it is not working?

Hmm, mine not working either and it had worked a few days ago..

I've sent 20 faxes off to clients this afternoon, (with no bounce, but they haven't gone through). I'm having the same problem, the system isn't responding.

Hi All,

Apologies for the delay, we've identified the issue and have resolved it. At this moment we haven't identified the cause, though all faxes will now be processed.

The email to fax system isn't working again, same as before, except when I add any sort of attachment is says it failed because of the attachment. If I just send text in the email field it doesn't even show up in the user facilities as failed, it just does nothing.

If it is not showing up within your User Facilities, can you confirm that you are sending it to the create email address? Eg. [fax_number]@fax.exemail.com.au

yes, I'm sending it to the correct address.

They are failing if I attach a .doc or .pdf or if I just enter the text in the email body. A number of my friends have also reported have this problem from late yesterday.

Can you provide the reply email that you're recieving minus your call details?

These message come back with a number of different receiving fax numbers and with .doc , .pdf or just text in the body of the message

Possible Reasons for Failure:
- Recipient Fax was engaged/busy
- No answer from destination fax number
- Recipient Fax was unable to obtain sustainable transmission rate

message 2:

Your email to fax has failed due to invalid fax attachment
Possible solutions:
- Remove any spaces within the filename.
- Send file in a different format. .jpeg -> .gif
- Send file in a different format. .eml -> .dic
- Ensure that the area code is included in the destination fax number. Eg "02"

Hi,

Can you try sending "message 1" again? If it fails, PM me the number that you sent to and I'll have a look at the logs to see what went wrong.
