Issues on the reciever's end

Post by Trizzunkz » Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:22 pm

We've had numerous occasions where a fax we've submitted has reported back as successfully sent, but it was never (or only partially) received on the other end.
Is there anything that can be done about this?
The vast majority of faxes we send are stock purchase orders, so you can understand the frustration when we call a supplier asking where an order is, and their response is the order wasn't received.

In all honesty, I'm not expecting that anything can be done, simply because there is no way to tell when or why this might happen. It could be simple human error, or perhaps even a faulty fax machine (such as no paper and no memory to store received data).
But my boss is insistent that I let eXetel know, just in case.

Thanks.
Joel.

There have been intermittent reports of issues like this. If you email residentialsupport@exetel.com.au with the details of some of the faxes (like the service number sent from and to and the time of sending) the issue might be resolvable.

That's easier said than done, but I'll look into it.
Thanks.
