Reverse DNS lookup is failing today and I can't send to AOL.

Post by thomashouseman » Tue Oct 09, 2007 11:11 am

Reverse DNS lookup is failing today and I can't send to AOL.

Site aol.com (64.12.137.168) said after data sent: 421 SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE 421-: (DNS:NR) http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/421dnsnr.html

I've tested my IP address at:

http://remote.12dt.com/lookup.php

and at AOL's own lookup:

http://postmaster.info.aol.com/tools/rdns.html

Please help. My ticket no. was:

Business Support #534417

and it's been working perfectly till today.

Please assist.

Thanks,

Thomas.

We are looking into this now. There seem to be a problem affecting 220.233.x.x ip address range.

I think I instigated it. The alert, not the problem :P

Yep, I figured you were the cause (of the alert, not the problem) :D

I just cross-referenced the threads in case you (or others) hadn't seen it

Cheers
