Php magic quotes are set at system level, but there are some suggested possible workarounds here (like the stripslashes function) http://au2.php.net/manual/en/security.m ... abling.php.

PS: although magic_quotes_gpc is enabled, magic_quotes_runtime is not.

I'd love to disable it site-wise but I can't be certain nothing on the server uses it. Of course if PHP6 is ever released that'll be a moot point (magic_quotes_* is deprecated now and slated for removal in PHP6). Unfortunately I can't really make an exception for one site due to suphp and the way we configure it to make sure no one changes the system php config options.

All this means that you may well be out of luck. Sorry.

Replied.

Magic quotes is a currently a server wide setting for free web hosting service.
It won't be changed for now as it might affect other users.

Customizable php setting for Individual web space is available for paid web hosting service.
