Trying to add new web account

Hi,

Trying to add new web account ,
I type in the name i want in the right hand box next to http://home.exetel.com.au/
and click add, next page is Creation Failed.
I get this with other names or a page says Web Address has already been taken
I understand the taken bit, what is Creation Failed.
Any help apprecciated,

Hi,

I'm having the exact same problem as listed here...any help would be hugely appreciated!! I want to activate the free webspace but keep getting either name taken (obvious) or creation failed! Not so obvious! How do i do it??

Hi Joolie,

Were you re-creating a free web hosting space?
Please PM me your service number and a short description of the details of the problem (for eg, did you delete it before you try create? what website name did you put in? )

I too am having the same problem - creation failed.

Does this mean everytime a user wants to create their webspace they have to PM an administrator? Seems it should say "pm this person for web access".

I'd prefer to think that it is a short term problem in a non-essential system on the Easter holiday. Automatic creation will be restored when the appropriate sys admin sorts it out.

I see it as an ongoing issue that is yet to be resolved. If you check the dates of the previous posts you'll note that its not something that has happened over the Easter break.

You can always email hosting@exetel.com.au with the your service number and we will look into it for you.
Only a few users having this issue(last post was 10/06/2011) when there is something like adsl migration failed(then recreated), duplicate webspace name, etc.

please PM me your service number and details of how to replicate this error or email hosting@exetel.com.au.
