Is there a problem with MySQL?

Post by cyberknutt » Mon Mar 21, 2011 2:26 pm

When I try to access my website I get an error message - "Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL". I have not changed anything on my website that should cause problems.

I can't access my database either, this also affects the phpMyAdmin access.

I've got the problem too.

My PHP fails with a database error: Couldn't connect to MySQL

I can't login to PHPMyAdmin: #2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)

+1
I have made no changes to the site in months, I also haven't backed up, hope they haven't lost my database.

From phpBB on my site,

Code: Select all

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) [2002]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.
and from phpMyAdmin,

Code: Select all

Error
#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)

There was an unknown issue which was investigated and fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi - I've now got a MySQL problem. The basic issue is in accessing any area of the site, which uses PHP/MySQL on any page:

Incorrect information in file: './<dbname>/<tablename>.frm'

I've sent an email to hosting@exetel.com.au but if anyone has info on a MySQL failure please advise.

Hi - no-one has answered my query yet. I know I'm not a business customer or anything but I emailed hosting@exetel.com.au about 4-5 hours ago and nothing yet. Please help!

The issue has been fixed.

It was due to mysql disabled innodb automatically when it thinks there is a corruption in innodb log files.

We apologize for any inconvenience might caused by this.
