Host personal website - Python

Post by ManUtdFans » Thu Feb 04, 2016 5:55 pm

I am interested in hosting my personal website using Python.
Do you support Python with Django?
On Linux or Windows?

Any news on phpinfo() ? I raised this at New Year. It would answer many queries like this.

We've checked with our admins and they confirmed that the Free and paid web hosting both support python 2.7.3 on linux. We are unable to provide an shell access on linux
and we do not provide any support or assistance with content management.

Thanks for the reply shoner.
phpinfo () is inserted into a php script within some html, like this

Code: Select all

 <body>
  <h1>PHP Info Page</h1>
  <?php
    phpinfo();
  ?>
</body>
and if working, returns a large amount of information of assistance to those who want to use this server. Very handy, it used to work correctly, but not now. There have been requests for what works that this would have answered.

Yes, I got your email reply. Thanks for that.
However, I am not sure if I understand this:
" ...you can install django on your website there are no restrictions."

I am hosting/storing my python scripts, images, video...etc on Exetel's server, right?
How do I install django on your server? I assume there is only one installation of django on each server is enough for all users.
Are you saying User A, B, C...etc need to install one instance of django on your server?

Hi Dazzled

We are not able to replicate your issue.

We created a php script using your code on the same web hosting server and it can show php info without and issue.

If you still have the problem, please contact hosting@exetel.com.au with your hosting website name and the time when it occurs.

Thank you.
