HSPA F1 Plan - USB modem Over Seas

Post by Jugah » Thu Mar 18, 2010 8:35 pm

Hi I am on the HSPA F1 Plan and have a USB modem (Huawei E169). I am going over seas to Thailand and Singapore. Will my modem work when I go overseas.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

GSM World shows that hialand only has GSM coverage available at this time with 1 planned 3G network. So they will be very slow speeds available there.

Singapore shows that all the companies thier provide 3G coverage as well as GSM, so you will have no problems there.

Although roaming agreements are usally available and listed on the GSM World website, it is usually prefereable to source a local SIM Card when in most countries as roaming costs are usually prohibitive.
The views I present are that of my own and NOT of any organisation I may belong to.
