NBN Drop outs - Townsville, NQ

My NBN connection has been dropping on numerous occassions this month.

Today 12.45 pm to 2.25 pm.

Are other Townsville customers having similar experiences?

Looking at your service, we do not see any drops on the line apart from the service being restarted once today. Are you posting this with the same account or on a different account?

Thanks for being pro-active Angelos.

Our "new" NBN connection is at the front of the house. It has a wifi router - and my wife and I both connect our laptops to it from our "offices" at the rear of the property.

Recently our wifi connections have been reporting "no internet access".

I don't really know if it is a NBN or router problem - but the problem was getting to be "infrequent" lately. (Hence my post to see if other Townsville NBN users were having the same problem).

When this happens I have resorted to turning every thing off (including the NBN box - and then re-booting. That seems to work!

I am getting some permanent data cabling put in soon - then the router will be located in my (rear) office. And I can more readily check if it is the router that is my problem.

Its early days yet - before I put in a ticket. :D

For testing purposes please connect your PC to the router through an Ethernet cable without using wireless to connect and kindly monitor your service.

No internet access since 7:30 am.

Now 8:28 am.

NBN modem shows:

power - green.
optical - green
Data - orange

Have re-booted both router and modem - still no data line.

An Exetel issue?

It could be affected by the following issue we are facing : viewtopic.php?f=296&t=42292

Townsville is one of the areas in the list.

Glad to hear... We can see that the services are coming online...
