ADSL to FTTN Status

While this has been asked before I am going to do it again for myself.

Exetel can you please provide a better way of providing the status of an application request?
When you apply you get an immediate email, and the myextel page says pending - which is a good start...

But thats it - Pending with who ... Exetel, NBN, Optus?

Every person on ADLS2 and new customers will be going thru the same process - I think everyone would like to have something online or in email form keeping them upto date. Otherwise we have to keep emailing Exetel or post of the forum to check.

My area went live on last Friday. I applied on that day. I assume Exetel would have any idea (especially for newly activated areas) of the processing time and expected duration. This would help let customers know when to chase up connections.
