What happens if I cannot get the teir speed I ordered?

Post by vv4yn0 » Sat Dec 17, 2016 5:07 pm

I have recently signed up to a 100/40 (not yet installed) plan but on doing some research, have found with my distance to the node (700M) it is theoretically impossible to get anywhere near 100MBps - the graphs I have seen estimate about 40MBps. Will I be allowed to downgrade my plan if the network is incapable of supplying what I am paying for?
Thanks for any insight,
Wayne

Hi,

As we have send you an email under the reference # : 11065017, we could not check the connection until it is fully activated an authenticate with the correct user credentials. Therefore once your service is active, please check the sync rates and send us the details via the same email where we can investigate and go for a better solution.

I have the same/similar problem.

I switched from ADSL to NBN VDSL (25/5 BOOST) and my DL speed is not even half as good as what my ADSL speed was.

While on ADSL I was getting a solid 14 Mbps and now I am only getting 6 Mbps if I am lucky and I am paying for 25 Mbps.

I notice that in the wee hours my speed got up to 18 Mpbs so I am thinking there is not enough bandwidth to supply me with the 25/5 I have signed up for?

My copper to the street tested clean.

Can someone please correct this.

Please assist.
