Speed increase not applied?

Post by geoffyboy » Wed Mar 14, 2018 6:40 pm

Hello.
I applied for a speed increase a few weeks ago.
In my dashboard it shows that the speed is now 50/20 but when I speed test I am getting the same speeds as before on 25/5 (22.8/4.6)

I have powercycled both nbn HFC modem and supplied ZTE modem.
That has done nothing.

Does the change happen on the 14th? or is there something else going on?

Cheers.

I'm in the same situation, speed was supposed to be upped to 50 on the 14th and no change.

Plan changes are process every month on the 14, speed changes to our suppliers are sent on the same day or a day prior and the processing time for the speed change is approximately 5 business days. The invoice for the new plan is generated on the 14th with the new charges which is due to be debited from the nominated bank details on the following month. The new plan price is charged only from the next billing cycle until this point of time the old plan is effective until the end of the month.

Thanks for the reply.

I honestly have never seen that info before.

I have always had it all happen on the 14th.

Can you point me in the right place to see that on the site or anywhere?

Cheers.

Hi,
I was half lucky!

While Modem itself has been synced at the new plan of 50/20 (54999/22600) as of the 14th,
only my upload was affected - increase from 4mb to 17mb.
Downloads remain at exactly what they were before - around 22mb.

Given the 5 days response - ill wait to Wednesday to open a ticket...and live in hope the nbn have to flick another switch somewhere...
