So much for loyalty. $70 to $108 p/m increase
So much for loyalty. $70 to $108 p/m increase
This is just disgusting, a $38 increase...over %50 with my bundle, I have used just on half of my 500 gig once, $108 here with exetel and have to pay for phone calls or drop to $79 p/m for 100 gig or I can get unlimited net with free local, national and mobile calls plus 6 months of Netflix for $90 p/m adsl2+ or 25 meg NBN, recon you may have cut your own throats here. Even Telstra has 100 gig bundle for less money, what the hell is wrong with you people.
Very sad and angry this has happened.
One very soon to be ex customer of exetel.

Hi,
We apologies for the inconvenience caused, however these plans are been discontinued due to a co-operate decision. The only available plans would be the ones offered in the members facility.
Unfortunately these are best plans that we could offer at the moment.
Regards,
Natasha

I got the same email. What's the go? The Cheap Broadband Plans High Speed ADSL - Exetel page says that unlimited ADSL is $59/month but you are trying to slug me $83/month + phone lne rental as a long term subscriber to Exetel. That doesn't seem like good value for money. I am quite happy with my current plan.

Re: So much for loyalty. $70 to $108 p/m increase
Hi coconutdog,
We use Telstra and Optus equipment to service our customers. Optus based plans are less expensive than Telstra. The reason for the higher price is because you are serviced through a Telstra Regional Exchange.
We apologies for the inconvenience caused, however the current plan that your on is been discontinued due to a commercial decision. The only available plans would be the ones offered in the members facility.
Regards
Mandy

I got the same email and have been a loyal EXETEL customer for 10 or more years at least.
1TB sounds great but there is no way I would ever use this much data. ADSL2+ peak speeds suffer a lot here sometimes dropping to below 2mbits.
The EXETEL 200GB deal was great for me because I simply could not use that much in a month.
Other ISP's offer unlimited ADSL2+ here (regional) for $69.90 per month free churn for 12 months or $29 churn fee for no contract.
The $89 1TB offer is out of my price range considering what else is on offer and is terribly poor value for my usage requirements.
I really don’t want to leave EXETEL but I why would I waste my money paying for something I wont use?
There is no middle ground on offer, 50gb peak/50GB off peak then a jump to 1TB seems crazy.
Can you do better than this please EXETEL?
Cheers PPL.

I will get someone from our sales team to respond so that you can discuss about the other available plans with Exetel.

Hi Fr33,
We apologies for the inconvenience caused, however the current plan that your on is been discontinued due to a commercial decision.
If you wish to change to a different plan apart from the nominated 1TB plan, you may refer to your Members Facility to view the rest of the available plans.

Re: So much for loyalty. $70 to $108 p/m increase
From me Exetel want increse from $51 to $108. Am use 100 gb monthly but school holiday kids visiting using you tube video uploading plus play online games etc. etc. Anyway exetel say because my needs are more then 100 gb $51( no excess fee
)They put me on 1 terrabyte $108 I can`t do it. So am shopping and find someone else.
Am not very happy person in this moment too.
So for this after fews years as Exetel customer am change provider. Not fair but happen.Maeby Exetel want it happen to reduce some customers who user too much bandwich like me sometimes too many downloads. So want limit and keep only rich happy customer with low bandwich and less downloads.
