HSPA Loan Service To Customers Of Other ADSL2

Post by ForumAdmin » Fri Oct 03, 2008 8:13 pm

We have designed a new 'churn' process for customers of other ADSL2 services (either SSS or ULL) that eliminates the down time.

The process is to loan them an HSPA service if they are in an Optus mobile 3G coverage area - which is now most of Australia.

The essence of the 'churn' is:

1) Customer applies
2) We check to ensure Optus ADSL2 is available
3) If yes we help the custoer cancel the other ISP's service
4) We simultaneously send an HSPA modem which they plug in as soon as their other ADSL2 service drops
5) We then start the provisioning process for the new Optus ADSL2 service
6) When the new service is live the customer returns the HSPA modem

A true 'no down time' ADSL2 churn process!!

this is a great service. I think i will have to convince some friends and family to now change over to exetel. Thanks for always looking at ways to make exetel better then the rest.

my brother tried to change from TPG to exetel adsl2+ and was interested in the loan hspa service but when he called exetel he was told that you have not officially started this service and therefore he was not able to get a loan hspa device.

He wants to join but cant be without internet for the downtime so can you tell me when this service is going to be offered?

thanks.

Also has a similar problem, whereby customer was REJECTED due to having iinet ADSL2 (non-telstra)/ Customers can't be expected to cancel their old ASDSL2 service BEFORE their new service has been approved (not installed, just approved to ensure they don't get left in limbo, with a cancelled ADSL2 and the new one not being available eg no ports). Please advise what the process is URGENTLY.

Thanx

Wow this is absolutely top notch service from Exetel. I have always dreaded any Internet downtime (need it for education, and entertainment!) and to get a HSPA loan in the mean time is perfect.

Hopefully I'll never have to use it, rockin' my Exetel (Optus) ADSL2+ for some years now.

Anyhow, great news Exetel, will help when recommending other users to your service.

EDIT: After reading the few posts above it seems that it's not quite in place yet. Hopefully the loan service does work out and customers don't have to feel any uncertainty regarding the process.

Good stuff, another great example of Exetel bringing out new and progressive ways to provide more for the customer. :D
The views I present are that of my own and NOT of any organisation I may belong to.

Paul you may not have noticed the date but the "get it done later this week" was posted last month on the 20th almost 3 weeks ago.
