Can I apply for it (with my naked dsl) now?

And any extra cost beyond the normal naked plan?
It should be available in mid-March.

Hi,

To answer Lawrie's question;
If I ported my existing PSTN number to a VoIP DID, without cancelling the PSTN, will I be allocated a new PSTN number.
This answer is no. Once the PSTN is ported to VOIP, the line becomes ceased. If you wanted a PSTN fall back once you activated your naked ASDL2 with Exetel, we could provide you with a new number, but in effect it then becomes a bundled service - sort of defeats the purpose of what we want to achieve in terms of naked ADSL2 customers wanting VOIP only, unless the fallback is vital for you.

I ordered a NDSL yesterday (24th0, and the estimated Date of cutover is 10th/03.
Is there any chance to port my pstn number?

I don't think so - we are still writing the interfaces required.

Hi taoyang,

as per my phone conversation, we will test yours (and about no more than 5 other applications )

I'm happy to be a guinea pig for this.
I have INCPHONE atm but willing to move to naked once my no. is migrated. (Is that how it's going to work?)

Hi Thomas,

We are trialing both.

1 - being the ability to transfer from Telstra to the Optus ULL network while porting a PSTN to VOIP ( Any new applications for naked ADSL2 please email paulp@exetel.com.au if they wish to be a test case)

2 - Current bundled customers wishing to port their telephone number to VOIP

You would fit in option 2, which is fairly easy(easier), it's option 1 that is proving testing at this point.

Can you email me at paulp@exetel.com.au and I can still do this if you wish to proceed as a test user

let me know

Less than $20.00.

The pricing hasn't been agreed with the carrier at this time.

There will be a charge to port the number from PSTN to VoIP - Telstra is involved in the process.

$20 is GREAT. I expected closer to $100.

I assume this will be for any landline number, even those outside the area codes you currently offer? Eg Batemans Bay and Central Coast NSW?

As far as I know it is the complete Australian range of PSTN numbers.

Does this apply to regional areas as well?

Some years ago I ported my PSTN to a VSP - who subsequently went broke a few year later - it would be great to be able to retrieve that phone number again and have it as my Exetel Voip number (instead of my current Brisbane one). Do you think this would be possible?
