+1, the 2am-2pm suits me much better, especially since I work from home.

From my point of view, I would say that I will (most likely) never benefit from the newly proposed off-peak time because I will (almost) never be up until 2 am in the morning while going to work early next day and returning back home after 6-7 pm.

Even with the current off-peak plan, i.e., 12am-12pm, I do rarely get to use any bit of it, with the better (but still small) chance being on some rare Saturday mornings. The facts are that I am just a regular married man with a full time job, that cannot stay up at night or touch too often the PC on the weekend mornings ... just to catch the off-peak download period.

Frankly, I have always regarded this "off-peak" download cap feature as completely nonexistent to me -more of a marketing feature than anything else- , and Exetel can add 1 Terabyte of download data on the off-peak allowance and it will still not make any difference to me.

However, as nowadays the ISP service prices become pretty similar, the trust on the supplier of any goods will count more than ever, and if customers may feel like they are being shortchanged, they may react accordingly.

The current system is a right royal pain for the "non downloading" users. I love the cheap prices but wish the off-peak didn't exist and affect my late night work.
The best approach would be for all heavy "off-peak" users to use a different upstream gateway to the rest of us users. Maybe something selectable in the users portal that puts you in a downloaders pool to use this bandwidth and you get routed over a different pipe.

Something else I havn't tested yet, is if off-peak affects HSPA use, which would not be fair to higher bandwidth paying customers?

i personally object.. as a 12am cut off time still makes it viable to start your downloads manually (i know we can start schedulers) but 2am makes it relatively inaccessible unless you're a night crawler

Disagree with the change. Please retain the current off peak period 12am-12pm.

I like it the way it is.
I am gaming till around 12 and then leave the downloading going overnight till i leave for work.
If its shifted forward i will end up using more peak than offpeak. :(
