Whats going on the peak download limit for NF/22BYOLINE keeps changing. I thought it was 25G then when i check my usage in user facilities it shows its 35G so i though i would download a few extra things then today it is showing it is 30G. I have gone over now but i am more then happy to pay the extra download but i just want to know what is it supposed to be? 25, 35 or 30G

thanks.

I suspect it is an early posting for changes to occur in January with a minor typo corrected so I have stayed within the previous limit.

Certainly appears so
http://www.exetel.com.au/a_plan_pricing_adsl2_nf.php

However, from the date on that page, it won't apply to December - it will start from January.

According to the meter in my member facilities it has started already, unless this is misleading?

If so I will get those linux distros tomorrow to avoid a charge

I think it would be prudent to wait until tomorrow - it's only a few hours away now.

The Current Month's ADSL Usage graph on the front page says 70 GB Peak already... not 60.

Well of course it would, if your plan details have already been updated to the new values :)

I cannot say unequivocally that the increase does not start until tomorrow - I'm a customer like you, not an Exetel representative/employee. All I'm saying is that, if it was I, to be on the safe side I would refrain from going over the previous limit, if indeed you are close to it. If you aren't close to it, the point is moot.

the plans now seem to have settled on 30G peak for NF/22BYO but now my usage meter is back to 25G. Will the change in peak automatically change in my user facilities as normal or do i need to manually change plans to take advantage of this increase in peak download?

thanks.

Generally, if the plan names stays the same, then all plans with that name get the changes. But it sometimes takes a little time for the user facilities to be updated

It was already updated in the user facilities and changed several times in DEC but now in the new month it has reverted back to the original. I guess ill just wait and see.

I have just looked at my invoice for this month for my NF/22BYOLINE and I have been charged excess usage for last month for going over 25GB.

However the quota in my user facilities updated a few days before the end of the month to 30GB, and is why I went over 25GB last month.

Has anyone else been charged this?

John's blog entry a few days ago slightly related to this perceived overcharging.
