Unfortunately I will need to sign up tonight as I'm moving in just under 2 weeks, so too late for me :(

I have been trying to switch plans for the last 3 days to 1500AW, all seems ok until I hit the submit button then I get a blank screen with the menu still down the side, so I don't know if my application has gone through or not. I have tried several times with the same result. I normally use Chrome but I also tried with IE.
I asked another user to try and he got the same result.

I am so sorry about that.
I have been advised all should definitely be working...do you think you could try it again?

Sorry if I missed anything previously in this thread, just to clarfiy - does the $25 charge apply if I don't purchase a wireless modem as part of a new naked contract?

I have signed up the new deal on the 5th June, but both the SIM and the modem hasn't arrived yet. Just wondering when can I expect them?

It does apply for shipping the sim.

wilsonch,

the modem and Sim are shipped once the adsl plan is active.
Therefore you will receive your service the first week of July.
This also means your 12 month contract begins for both services at the same time.

Sorry that I haven't made myself clear. I am a current exetel customer who is out of contract. I remember reading in this case the wireless contract start immediately and the adsl start the following month. Unless the t&s has been changed since I sign up.

Hi All

Just a question that I have from the June newsletter.
New ‘Occasional Use’ Wireless Service For Exetel Users

Since announcing this service in the June 1st newsletter we have made
it available to all Exetel customers who are out of contract (not just
those on Optus services) and have added 100 mbytes of included down/up
loads.

12 month contract
Sim and delivery $25.00
No monthly ‘minimum usage’
100 mbytes down/uploads per month included
BYO USB modem or use the sim socket in your notebook/laptop
Alternatively a USB E160 modem for $5.00 per month added to your
monthly bill
Data at 2 cents per megabyte – post paid

All Exetel ADSL users can now order these services from the Exetel
User Facilities.
When I checked the user facilities https://www.exetel.com.au/members/hspa_order.php for the free access 12 month contract including 100MB of data it states .05MB which is 50 MB.

Is the info in the user facilities incorrect or is the newsletter incorrect ?

Thanks

It does say 100MB of included data at https://www.exetel.com.au/members/servi ... _adsl2.php.

If I read the newsletter correctly, I think you need to sign up for a new ADSL contract to get the "free" wireless modem - whether supplied through Optus, AAPT services.

There are two different versions.

1) For people who sign up a new ADSL plan for twelve months - inc 100

2) For people signing up for a 'stand alone' wireless plan - inc 50
