I currently have version 1.01(0) of Exetel MoIP installed on my Nokia E71.
What is the current version number that is being distributed?

Hi,

The current version is still version 1.01(0) with APSServer version 2.40(3).

If you downloaded the software earlier, you'll notice that there is no longer a security warning during installation in regards to the software being unverified.

So the only difference with this 'new' version is the verification?

That would not be entirely accurate.
There are more slight modifications front-end and back-end made but none to necessitate a major or minor version increase.

The main feature of being able to use VoIP and send SMS remain the same.

When I go to Exetel's website for MoIP it tells me to download from member facilities but it is still not there.

Edit: Applied 4th time from member facilities and I received the .sis file in my email straight away. Thanks

It's in your HSPA members facility
For existing HSPA customers, you must order it from your User Facilities. It can be found from the left-menu under VoIP -> Exetel MOIP
Saw the edited response. This post is redundant.

My first comment on this application, when I called my exetel voip number from another mobile, exetel moip continues to ring even after the other end hangs up. Tried thrice with two mobile phones.

Is it an official Nokia app yet? If not can someone create a new thread when it is? The Nokia 5800 is still not available in the member's area.

I downloaded the app today on N85. I applied from member's page, in a few minutes application arrived in the email.

Hi Exetel,

the latest version of MoIP was released today, which seem to have added a great & much needed feature "Sender" but not quite sure what the "Firewalled" is supposed to do?

Is there anywhere we can few release notes for versions?
Is it possible to start seperate Forum section dedicated to MoIP?
Is it possible to have setup guides posted for users? appears to be needed.

& Just 1 more thing, there appears to be a bug with the iPhone app, in history if you touch SMS tab or the date just under the screen will go blank for a short period of time.

If this is the case how do existing users of MOIP get the update - and if it is by downloading it from the User Facilities are we going to be charged another $2 to download the new version?

"Firewalled" means your MoIP is behind router with NATed IP address. When you use Wifi connection in MoIP, usaually your MoIP will be assigned an internal IP. We recommend you to turn it on.

In this realease, we have made the following changes.
1. Fix SMS sender number to allow user to specify the sender number
2. Add Wifi connection feature, which allows MoIP to connect to Wifi connection point
3. Move firewall feature from advanced setting to basic setting, which is easy for user to turn on.
We will verify your mentioned bug and let you know.
