Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
Will we have to pay $25x2 for new SIMs again to swap over to these plans? My wife and I recently swapped to Exetel on our mobiles when you had that, "Swap now and we'll waive your first bill" drive...

I'm not sure what we will do about that.....it hasn't reached the decision making stage yet.thomashouseman wrote:Will we have to pay $25x2 for new SIMs again to swap over to these plans? We will try and find some way to make it available for people who swap from Exetel Vodafone though you would realise there is a cost for the sim and the delivery to your home.
We would hope to get the initial offer out either late today or tomorrow.

Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
We are very happy with this offer.
Thanks John.
We would like to ask the following questions:
1. Why charge 30c per SMS? The Optus plans are only 25c
2. The Optus BYO plans have a "BYO Option" extra SMS, extra call cap or extra Data. Will this option be available too?
3. The Exetel included value is $135 whereas the Optus deal says "up to" $150. Is $135 equivalent to the Optus guaranteed amount?
4. Will an Exetel VoIP DID and EXESMS work over the data on one of these CAP plans?
5. Will there be a Mobile Usage Meter so we can keep a track of how we are tracking against the Cap amount?
6. Will there be an itemised section on the bill for this account?
Lawrie

It is an error - it will be 25 cents.1. Why charge 30c per SMS? The Optus plans are only 25c
Not at this stage.2. The Optus BYO plans have a "BYO Option" extra SMS, extra call cap or extra Data. Will this option be available too?
It should be $165 call and SMS value on the rates stipulated.3. The Exetel included value is $135 whereas the Optus deal says "up to" $150. Is $135 equivalent to the Optus guaranteed amount?
Yes4. Will an Exetel VoIP DID and EXESMS work over the data on one of these CAP plans?

Of course6. Will there be an itemised section on the bill for this account?
Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
I know this is a long shot but, would their be any chance of a family/couples cap plan which allows you to purchase one cap which can be used across 2 (or more) sims.
Ideally I would like something at the Cap 35 or Cap59 price point with the same data/call inclusions but with 2 sims... even if the price was $5 more (or ADSL discount $5 less) per month for the couples plans, I think it would be a winner.

No chance unfortunately. One cap plan pertains to one service.would their be any chance of a family/couples cap plan which allows you to purchase one cap which can be used across 2 (or more) sims.
Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
On the CAP plans, does excess data come out of the CAP allowance (assuming not all of the CAP is used on calls/SMS)?

Maybe I don't understand your question.vbap wrote:On the CAP plans, does excess data come out of the CAP allowance (assuming not all of the CAP is used on calls/SMS)?
The data allowance is a discrete number of mbytes that is separate to the dollar number that includes voice calls and SMS.
Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
HI FA,
Some question about the new mobile plan.
1. For the "per min" plan, is there a fair use requirment of the free "exetel to exetel" calls and SMS? (ie, if I use all 50 calls and 50 SMS and only make $5 for calls to other people. Would the service be cancelled?). The reason I ask this queestion is for the kids; they only call us and makes little call to others.
2. For the capped plans, is there free/included "exetel to exetel SMS"?
Thanks

That's OK. The fair use is built in (50 E2E calls/50 E2E SMS - generous we know!)1. For the "per min" plan, is there a fair use requirment of the free "exetel to exetel" calls and SMS? No, it's only calls.2. For the capped plans, is there free/included "exetel to exetel SMS"?
Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
For example CAP14 has $60 included value. If I make no calls during the month, then can I use that $60 to "buy" extra data (~218MB @ $0.275/mb). Several providers/plans have this option.ForumAdmin wrote:Maybe I don't understand your question.vbap wrote:On the CAP plans, does excess data come out of the CAP allowance (assuming not all of the CAP is used on calls/SMS)?
The data allowance is a discrete number of mbytes that is separate to the dollar number that includes voice calls and SMS.
But, my understanding of your answer, is that the $60 is for calls & SMS only (you'll need to clarify that though - local, international, voice, video, 13, 1800, voicemail, etc etc).
Re: ADSL Plans/$10 - $25 Per Month Discounts
Hi,
I thought I would give you my scenario to show why Exetel's bundling is a good option for residential customers.
Currently I've got
ADSL - Exetel ONA, $40/mo
Mobile - TPG 49 cap, $20/mo
Netbook - Exetel Prepaid (R2000 2GB for $30 over 90 days) i.e. $10/mo
That's $70/mo. $50 going to Exetel.
If I move my mobile service to the CAP35, it turns into
ADSL - Exetel ADSL ONA, $25
Mobie - Exetel CAP35, $35
That's $60/mo, $60 going to Exetel.
The icing on the cake, is that I get 1GB/mo of mobile broadband included. That means I no longer need the prepaid mobile broadband, I can use the mobile sharing the connection via bluetooth.
The icing on the icing, is that facebook content is free. I was going to buy this before, now it just makes it even sweeter
