Re: Off Peak Periods
For the record, my off peak periods have not been updated either, still 2am-8am.
Plan Type: OND
But thanks to Exetel for yet again passing on better deals to their customers - I've seen people paying $80/m for 5GB (as recently as last month!) because their provider has been happy to keep ripping them off by leaving them on a grandfathered plan without any sort of notification.

Re: Off Peak Periods
Interesting.....the user facilites appears to have been updated. It now says 4am to 12 noon for off-peak. However, at 4:15 in the afternoon.....
Usage Meter Server Time is 2010-12-02 04:14:58 PM.
Downloads are currently being metered as offpeak usage.
Not that I'm complaining.......

Re: Off Peak Periods
It has been corrected. Please try again.
Re: Off Peak Periods
any word on the T8192-U plan, it's still showing incorrect details, shows 0 data for peak period included (still mentions unlimited anyway) and $1 per GB charge, the off peak shows correctly thoughraymond wrote:It has been corrected. Please try again.
Re: Off Peak Periods
T8192-U is unlimited plan. There is no excess download. We have corrected this.
Re: Off Peak Periods
yes I can see it has been fixed already, thanksraymond wrote:T8192-U is unlimited plan. There is no excess download. We have corrected this.
I've yet to see a situation where any error like this isn't taken care of in a timely manner but the sooner it can be done the better before too many people notice and start jumping to the wrong conclusions
Re: Off Peak Periods
It would be quicker to email the error to dbadmins@exetel.com.au. We will check and correct immediately.
Re: Off Peak Periods
HI, Why is my off peak period still is 0400 to 12:00noon?
I thought, from the email I received, it was changed to 0400Hr to 1400Hr.
Am i being ripped off?

Perhaps if you intend to post on this forum you will eliminate the pointless insults in future posts.lloong wrote:HI, Why is my off peak period still is 0400 to 12:00noon?

If you had ever bothered to understand the terms of your contract you may have noticed that the off peak period was 4 am to 10 am up to midnight on November 30th 2010.
It is now 4 am to 12 noon...an increase of two hours a day.
Re: Off Peak Periods
My sincere apology. What was I thinking. Got the times mixed up.
So Sorry.
So Sorry.

Re: Off Peak Periods
The change to the two six hour off peak periods has made little or no difference to usage patterns over the last two weeks.
December is an atypical month with school holidays and people going on annual holidays both distorting the general usage patterns.
We will re-look at the usage patterns at the end of January to see if it's possible to make further changes.
If you look at the MRTG reports you will see that the staggered off peak start times have finally eliminated the perennial 12 midnight issue.

Re: Off Peak Periods
In line with the complete overhaul of Exetels residential ADSL services we will increase the current 8 hour off peak periods to ten hours.
Details will be in the January customer news letter.
