Hi,

The peak and off peak times for the 30GB/100GB plans would be as follows.

Peak – 9.00 Am – 1.00 Am
Off-peak – 1.00 Am – 9.00 Am

Hi Sealgair,

Peak would be 9am to 1am, Off Peak 1am to 9am. You could check the CIS document on our website for more information. Meanwhile, we'll work on adding the Peak and Off Peak time to your Exetel Members facilities. Thank you for your feedback.

Please update your web site: http://www.exetel.com.au/broadband/adsl-features

No excess quote charge
"Rather than charge you for additional data downloads once you’ve hit your monthly allowance, we shape the speed of your service to an industry fastest rate of 1M/384k. That way you avoid any nasty bill surprises and still have access to a working service. And you can always upgrade your plan at any time or buy extra GB’s if you want."

should say,

"..., we shape the speed to your service to an industry slowest rate of 128/64kbps...."

Regards

Kindly note that once the data allowance has been exceeded, the connection speed will slow down to the next acceptable speed, which is the fastest in comparison to other resellers in the telecommunications industry. This is what is meant on our website.

Just received an email from Exetel forcing me on to a new plan. Wow! Do these new plans suck!

I currently get 500GB download whenever I like, which is plenty for me.

Now, I have a "choice" of a crap 50G with peak/off peak, or an overpriced 1TB plan.

In the past, I've always been able to stay on my current plan when Exetel changes the plans.

WTF Exetel! These new plans are crap, and much poorer value for your customers.

Hi ,

Exetel regularly review and simplify our suite of available broadband bundle plans.

We do this to ensure all customer services keep pace with the rapidly growing demand for data usage and the increasing cost of network bandwidth.

If you are unhappy with the details of broadband bundle plan above, you can visit the My Exetel area of the Exetel website and select a plan before 8 July 2015 that more closely suits your needs or budget or if not you could have look into other options.

Regards,

Natasha

Other options like what? What I have right now "meets my needs and budget". The other plans in the MyExetel website are no good either.

Can you explain to me how these changes benefit any of your customers???

Other options like moving to another ISP.

They don't. In my case I'm being moved from an $79.99/unlimted plan to a $108/1TB plan. So a 35% price increase for much less data. Pretty rude considering how long they held out on passing cost reductions to existing customers last time.

Hi All,

I recieved the same email.
After years as a loyal customer when I rang to see if I could stay on my existing plan (100GB + phone for $59.99/month) I was told this was no longer an option and I would have to pay an extra $19.01/month ($79) for the privelege of now being limited to 50GB peak & offpeak.
Or I could drop down to 30GB (15 peak & offpeak) for just $14.01/month extra($74)!
I would like to stay loyal but they are making it very hard.

Especially when iCan get 300GB + phone + unlimited local, national and mobile calls for $69.90/month elsewhere.

By the way - I hope it was just a coincidence that I could not post a new thread on this forum and had to piggyback on this thread!

Hi,

We apologies for the inconvenience caused, however these plans are been discontinued due to a corporate decision. The only available plans would be the ones offered in the members facility.

Unfortunately these are best plans that we could offer at the moment.

Natasha

I have also received that email stating my 200gb plan isn't available anymore and I have to pay an extra $28 a month to go on the 1TB plan.

Exetel - you've been really good to me for these past 6 odd years.

You've done some good things and have generally been a "good guy ISP".

But you're really just going to up and AUTOMATICALLY start charging me an EXTRA 50%?

Not acceptable.

And now you don't have a plan that suits my needs.

Not even close.

I'm leaving and will be advising other Exetel customers do the same.

I'm gonna tell people all over the place what you're doing to loyal customers.

On the train to work?

Gonna tell em what you're doing.

At the pub?

Gonna tell everyone what Exetel is doing.

When I get my 15 minutes of fame on some TV quiz show (any day now)?

Gonna tell ALL THE PEOPLE what Exetel is doing.

So...

Recommendations, anyone?
