Factory Reset Phone let it go through the process then turn off, insert sim.

Can recieve incoming calls and sms text via DID number

How do i make an outgoing connection to the internet to browse, i can see 3G in the top left hand corner.
Message when trying to go to nokia.com
Connecting Via Optus Internet
then
Packet Data: Packet Data connection not available

And when going to Optus Zoo
Connecting Via Optus Zoo
then
Packet Data: Packet Data connection not available

Having trouble finding exactly the place to set APN setting to exetel1 :?:

Ok worked it out, now i feel not so stupid
From your Main Screen showing clock and shortcuts etc.
Press Menu, go to Tools and press the middle button to open,
go to Settings and press the middle button,
go to Connection and press the middle button,
go down to Access Points and press the middle button,
go to Optus Internet and press the middle button,
go to Access Point Name and press options then select change.
Clear the box and type in exetel1 then press ok then back and then press your Home key.

Note: Remember to press the back in the above line otherwise the setting does not save.

Now try going to a website and use Optus Internet as your connection. It should work for you now.

the setup is detailed in the manual, if you don't have the manual handy you should be able to download it from the Nokia site, if the phone is an S60 platform (I think it is, I have an E65 which would be similar) it's buried in one of the settings/connections menu options

After the migration simply changing connect to exetel1 or EXETEL1 does not work, i have tried a few things and no go :(
back to Packet Data Connection not available.

Edit: Ok now fixed as well had to set Network Mode to Dual mode UTMS/GSM i had it on UTMS only when the migration happened.

Just got account activated (can make calls etc) and followed settings as described above for my e71. Unfortunately I still get "Packet data not available. Check network services."
Have gone Tools->Settings->Connection->Access points:

Connection Name: Exetel1
Data bearer: Packet Data
Access Point Name: exetel1
User name: None
Prompt password: No
Password: (blank)
Authentication: Normal
Homepage: None

My network mode is "Dual Mode," but am still getting this error. Are there any other settings I need to change?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated ^^

Those settings are correct, not sure why you cannot connect, since it's a new connection wait a bit and try again maybe, remember to turn the phone off and back on if you only just activated the sim.

Ok then, thought I'd given it some time, but will switch it off and wait 5-10 mins.

Will post back with an update.

Thanks Biscuits :)

Side note - Connection name: can be anything you want to describe it

The access point name being exetel1 in lower case is what matters everything else is default.

Hmm, switched it off and left the battery out for 10 mins. Still no luck, same error.

Will give it until the morning, otherwise it's support ticket time...

Just setup a new sim "(my second sim with exetel) and getting a similar above message as well, did it resolve itself quickly or was a support ticket needed?

packet data: authorisation failed

No ip in the exetel member services area assigned to me.
