Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!
Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!
Is it me, or has the past few weeks been painfully slow (internet wise).
I have no idea what's going on.. not talking about P2P speeds but like normal web-surfing or rapidshare downloads.. speeds are at 7kb/s??
Anyone else facing this problem?

Re: Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!
Same problem for me, sometimes I'm getting 3kb/s - 7kb/s max! it's sometimes like dial up! I got 8 gig download a month and I'm lucky to even use 2 gigs so i'm not over the limit. whats going on?
Re: Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!
I came here hoping for some network fault to be mentioned that's causing the horrendous speeds I've been getting today, we're talking sub dialup speeds. I can't really do anything.

Re: Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!
Hi Exetel Staff,
Can anything be done to check Wireless Exetel speeds? I'm currently a uni student, and most of my internet usage this week is dependent on getting access to journals i.e. Sciencedirect.com If Exetel can't resolve this problem, it will be really problematic for me.
I've tried restarting my router/modem (Modem is green light), but nothing seems to help. P2P is working normal, but HTTP websites are painfully slow.
Cheers
Oneil.
p.s. What do we do if our internet is disconnected, but need to contact Exetel to fix up the issue?

Re: Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!
I'm presuming you are all talking about an Unwired service? (No-one actually used those words
)
Anyway, I've referred this thread to Exetel Support and expect they'll respond in the morning.

Re: Wireless Broadband Speeds super drop!
P2P speeds can never be guaranteed. Especially on wireless broadband where the modems are designed for simple web browsing and may not have the ability to handle the large number of connections and NAT table entries required for P2P.immann wrote:same problem here, but my html speed is ok,my p2p speed is very slow, like 5k/s
