keeping hspa connection alive
keeping hspa connection alive
I use an internet application that sends and recieves data at various intervals. The intervals are long enough to allow the light on my Huawei modem to go from cyan to blue. Whenever it does this, the connection stalls and interferes with my application badly. However if I run a constant ping to google for example, then everything works smoothly and the cyan light stays on. Is there a more elegant way to keep my connection running smooth and fast?

Probably not. The switchover from HSPA (cyan) to WCDMA (blue) is by design, however it should not be stalling your connection in the manner that it is. But if the constant ping is working for you then you may as well continue with it. Make sure to set the packet size to as low as possible though so as not to waste your quotabcachot wrote:Is there a more elegant way to keep my connection running smooth and fast?
