USIM trouble with E180

I think I have a problem with my SIM card.
I just want to confirm that I'm right (or not), and find out what to do about it with regards to Exetel.

I plugged it in on the train, and the connection software says "The SIM/USIM card has not been detected or is invalid."
So I tried it in one of my phones (an old nokia 6610), which refused to start.
I also tried it with a friends inbuilt modem, which didn't work either.

As a result, I'm fairly sure it's the SIM, and not a fault with the modem.

Can anyone tell me what I should be doing now?

Email provisioning@exetel.com.au with your details (address and mobile number) and they can send a replacement sim.
