VOIP - calling land line - no one picks up the phone!!

Post by AndrewDunn » Thu Jan 24, 2008 6:51 pm

Hi,

Calls to mobiles work fine, but calling a land line, no one ever picks up the phone, we've had voip for about 2 weeks now and whenever we call a land line it rings out and gets a busy signal even with people who have message bank.

What's the G O ?

My modem is netcomm NB9W.

I have read that if your NB9W is running the latest firmware you can use the Dial Plan feature to add the area code automatically to numbers that start with 2-9.

Your VOIP # is grouped to another state. This can be changed by Exetel.

If you don't use a DID you wont get anywhere.
Hello,

Thank you for your Email.
I've checked your VOIP service: 0933xxxx this number is a DIDLESS number, it's neither a Sydney nor a Melbourne number.

Please also find that it is always the best to dial a number with area code when using VOIP service.
