Netcomm NB6PLUS4W Question.
I'm looking at moving from Engin/VB3 to Exetel/Netcomm NB6PLUS4W.
I use a Uniden cordless system (1 base + 2 handsets) older version of the WDECT 3355 +2.
One really annoying thing with the VB3 is that an inbound PSTN call takes about 4 rings to switch through the VB to then start the phone ringing.
By the time I get off the lounge chair, find the phone, kick the dog, fall over, get up again, answer the phone, the caller is long gone.
My question to those using Exetel VOIP and the NB6PLUS4W, is there a lag when you get an inbound PSTN call to when the phone starts physically ringing?
The test I use is that I ring my PSTN from my mobile - 4 x sets of dial tone rings, before my Uniden phone kicks into action. It's not the Uniden as the old Telstra touchfone does the same thing.

The NB6PLUS4W is not a VOIP modem. You most likely mean the NB9W, but I'll leave it up to the more knowledgeable VOIP reader/users to answer your query.
Edit: The NB9W has ceased to be offered by Exetel and the Dynalink RTA1046VW has taken it's place. You can still get NB9Ws from stores though, and I'm sure you will still appreciate comments from Exetel users, regardless of their modem models (Netcomm NB9W, Dynalink RTA1046VW, Billion 7401VGP-M, etc)

Re: Netcomm NB6PLUS4W Question.
Thanks for the replies, I will have to do some more research, I mistook the unit as the "all in one" from another forum post.

I can confirm that the Dynalink we offer (replaced the NB9W) will not have the same problem you are having now.
From tests we dont have any ring delay issues.

Thanks VOIP Admin...plus your price is attractive!!
Looks like I found me a new "all in one". Thanks for the replies, I hope they help others.

Re: Netcomm NB6PLUS4W Question.
I use a Billion 7404vgp.
Ringing my DID from my mobile, I get 0 ring delay. First ring I hear in my ear corresponds with my Voip phone ringing.
