Re: Beta firmware for NB9WMAXX
Please follow these steps to upgrade your NB9/NB9W firmware
1. Connect to your NB9WMAXX using an Ethernet cable. It is advised that you do not perform the upgrade wirelessly.
2. Open a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and enter http://192.168.1.1 into the Address bar:
3. Click Management >> Device Settings >> Update Firmware:
4. Click Browse and choose the binary file that you downloaded (e.g. NB9WMAXX_C09_R03.bin) and click Update Software:
5. Wait for approximately 3 minutes for your NB9WMAXX to complete the upgrade.
NOTE: DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR PC FROM THE MODEM or POWER THE NB9WMAXX OFF!
6. Reset your NB9WMAXX to its factory default settings.
7. Login and configure the settings again.

C01_R04 firmware for NB9WMAXX now out
Netcomm have posted new firmware for NB9WMAXX on their website. I will try it in the next few days, unless someone has found bugs.
Re: C01_R04 firmware for NB9WMAXX now out
i have just been speaking to Netcomm.ericb wrote:Netcomm have posted new firmware for NB9WMAXX on their website. I will try it in the next few days, unless someone has found bugs.
my issues are VOIP drops.......which i have written about before......endlessly.
however we got as far as me being told that my issues were line drops, and thus a Telstra/line noise problem....and not related to the modem.
i asked why was the new firmware _04 developed and was told it was to address a few issues related to a few ISP.
the objective of this call was to make me go away and blame telstra. it was NOT a modem problem.

........and the call dropped at that point ......their end not mine, as i was on a good old telstra landline that is rock solid

i am currently waiting on another connection to Netcomm tech support and hoping for some better understanding.
later.........my second call HAS NOW given me the info that it is in fact Exetel that thefirmware update was developed for in the main. some particular issue that they stated was pretty much an exetel problem.
i have reloaded the new firmware and will hope for better times.
ihave asked the second tech guy to speak to the first and upgrade HIS knowledge base
i get sooooooooooo frustrated when issues occur because u never get an answer that is from the same songsheet from anyone of the players
Re: Beta firmware for NB9WMAXX
I know you have NB9W.
this is for NB9WMaxx. Not NB9W. Each hardware have different firmware.

are you meaning me Jared ???Jared Lee wrote:I know you have NB9W.

i have the Maxxi for the last about 6-8 weeks.
because of all the hassles i was having i let me con me into getting the Maxxi ......for more money.

the newer firmware for the Maxxi seems to be much more satisfactory.
i dont know of any drops in VOIP that i have had ........not aware of them anyway.
unlike the NB9 w or the first firmware that came with the maxxi modem.
when i picked it up it was then the latest firmward for the maxxi..... but was upgraded some weeks later for exetel customers .............i was informed

I am about to upgrade my firmware before I reset the router, but it shows that the latest firmware is NB9WMAXX-D111-S306NCM-C01_R09... should I use this edition or the one linked above by Martin?

Re: Beta firmware for NB9WMAXX
again
once more
still
each morning this week..........got to reload the modem to get calls out or in.
usually works after that but today it didnt
i called and got siri lanka and was asked to mail to VOIP which i did and i enabled remote access for exetel to look at my modem
some strange things have been happening and the modem has been on and off.
i assume that exetel was the cause of this
????
i can now call out and call in
my number is 9484 6XXX
HOWEVER
i did call netcomm and they tell me that my problem is that there is a new (AGAIN) stuffing lot of firmware
ending in _10
they emailed me a copy but it will not load.
i get *fatal error* report
they tell me that teh maxxi is just the greatest
given that my phone is now working......what should i do??
try again to reload the _10 version
i am sooo over this firmware thing.
does anyone have the page at netcomm where the downloads are please?
i can never ever find it and given the one they emailed me is not going to work........i had best try and dowmload myself
thanks
adding........... i have finally found the firmware and downloaded it ok but will wait for advice before upgrading
