Try this thread for another reason why incoming calls might not work http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=28467

Hi

Well currently Martin is testing the line from Exetels end to see if there is anything going on there. I enabled remote log on and he thought everything looked ok with my configuration.

My router/modem is a billion 7401vgp

I'm just waiting now to here how the exetel test goes.

Cheers Nigel

HI

Well that explains it.... as my number is within the deficient number range. As per the post I am now waiting for Exetel to advise of my new working phone number but have heard nothing yet.
Its been more then 1 week now to just get a phone number working. I feel like i have had to become a network engineer to figure it all out. I know this is no frills service but i thought i was supposed to be just a user and not a techo... I think i am starting to get frustrated and am not far now from pulling the pin and going elsewhere were i can have phone support and get things going quickly. Though i haven't given up just yet...

Still waiting for my new Did number

Cheers

I would say don't give up, once you get this sorted you shouldn't need to call up anyway
