No VoIP

Post by Dazzled » Thu Dec 11, 2008 2:07 pm

VoIP appears to be down at the moment. I get dial tone, but cannot dial out.

Hi,

We are also experiencing problems with VOIP at the moment.

We have over 10 VOIP lines from exetel which usually work flawlessly, but at the today staff have reported that when calling you get ring tone for a few seconds then busy tone.

Calling the same numbers via PSTN from the same PABX has no problems.

From discussing the issue with the called party it appears that the calls drop out when the called party answers the call.

Viewing the unbilled calls for the our VOIP numbers shows no billing data for today.

It's back again, thanks, Raymond.
We were previously getting dial tone, then the beeps as the number was dialled, then dead.

I've had a bit more trouble in the last quarter hour. The call gets through, but my voice (the caller) fades away to nothing and comes back a short while later, as heard by the person called. I cannot detect any fadeout at my end.
