That link is not working for me - it's just pages of code.

It's a binary file - you will have to download it as such.
(some browsers may attempt to treat it as html or txt)

All tones come from the Dynalink box. I haven't installed it yet, but there is a choice of countries in the setup screens, and the new firmware may not default to "Australia".

Hi

Have been following with a lot of interest the lag when you ring out. Never had it but do so now seemingly after we had a power blackout some weeks ago.

After updating the firmware do you need to reset the modem or do anything else.

Cheers

It's usually recommended to reset your router to factory defaults after upgrading firmware, but this of course comes with reconfiguring your ADSL, VoIP and Wireless (if applicable) settings again.

Although, there should be no problem with not resetting the router after a firmware upgrade.

Hi

I have been having a problem with outbound voip calls about 8 second with no audio going to the other end but i can hear them fine. after this time all work's well (if they don't hang up).

I have done the install of this firmware and then Factory reset. redid all my setting for Internet, LAN, WiFi ect then put in my voip settings. but left everything on the default's. But when making a call I still sometimes get the problem.

Is there any other settings i should check to get this working?

Thanks Ox

What numbers do you observe the issue occurring on (mobiles, landlines or International)?

Does anyone know what particular changes have been made in the beta firmware? I'm having this same issue on a ZyXEL device. I'm guessing that some hidden parameters are being hard-coded in the Dynalink beta firmware?

So far so good, have been running the new firmware for 4ish days and the 1046vw has not had the delay issue yet though i have not been making that many calls. I did a firmware upgrade, factory reset, firmware upgrade.

Hi there,
I've been having the same problems as lots of people who use the Dynalink (RTA1046VW) for VOIP and the lag experienced with making calls to landlines. So I thought it good idea to update the firmware as suggested. The problem is every time I try to upload the file to the router I receive the following error message:
"Image uploading failed. The selected file contains an illegal image."
I have a mac, and am hoping this isn't the cause of the problem.
Can you help at all?
Thanks
Will

You should be able to upgrade using the web browser interface.

make sure the file is unzipped of course,.
