08XXXX3197 - Not Registering?

Post by jayday » Sun Apr 05, 2009 11:31 pm

I'm having some issues with my number 08XXXX3197, it is not registering, I've tried it on my PBX and Windows PC but nothing seems to work for it.

Thanks.

Try configuring your account on an x-lite soft client. You can view the logs and see what is happening and why the registration is rejected, if you get that far.
If you are behind a NAT, try configuring the external IP (your public IP address) on your SIP client.

The number works 100% fine on X-lite, it's just our PBX that doesn't seem to want to register it. There are no logs showing up within Asterisk Logs in Asterisk GUI. Where abouts are trunks stored in /etc/asterisk?

Try /etc/asterisk/sip.conf or /etc/asterisk/sip_additional.conf (depending on your asterisk install).

We have successfully registered the trunk and can call outbound with no problems. Now we're facing another issue, we can't receive inbound calls. These are our logs.

Code: Select all

Apr 9 08:42:01 DEBUG[1528] chan_sip.c: Checking SIP call limits for device 086102XXXX
Apr 9 08:42:01 NOTICE[1528] pbx.c: Cannot find extension context 'from-sipout'
Apr 9 08:42:01 DEBUG[1528] chan_sip.c: Stopping retransmission on 'call-713C6283-8907-2C10-120F-1FE50@58.96.1.1' of Response 1: Match Found
Apr 9 08:42:01 DEBUG[1528] chan_sip.c: Stopping retransmission on 'call-713C6283-8907-2C10-120F-1FE50@58.96.1.1' of Response 1: Match Found
For some reason the IP is 58.96.1.1, but we've set 58.96.1.2 in all our trunk settings.
