Call Waiting

Post by Aaphid » Sat Jan 02, 2010 10:42 pm

Is call waiting supported on an Exetel naked line running VOIP through a Netcomm NB9w?

I've seen the following:-
"Call Waiting -------------------------> Allow/Disallow an audible indicator for a pending call"

but it doesn't actually say that you can switch between calls.

Call Waiting does work on our VoIP service, but I don't know how to switch between calls either.

Hanging up on the first call will allow the second call to ring through, but I have no idea if there is a way to have the two active with switching.

I believe the method is a function of the particular phone you are using.

I agree.
Also update to a voip business phone if you want plenty of features and quality calls.

OK, so the phone I'm using was able to switch between calls previously on a standard landline.

So if it could do it before I'm guessing it should be able to do it with VOIP as well?

Any way of finding out if there is a way to do this?

Well it should do it on voip too.
Have you enabled 'call waiting' on your NB9W. (see page 27 of your user manual)
