Exetel VoIP without other Exetel services

Post by username4me » Fri May 21, 2010 10:37 am

Hello,

I'm currently on ADSL1 with Exetel, can I continue an Exetel VoIP service if I were to cancel my ADSL1 service?

Thanks

Excellent! :)

So, to ask for the answer for the third post in that thread, what is the process?

Cheers

Considering it's been asked by myself, another poster, and the OP here, why don't you just put the information in this thread???

I am a volunteer admin (see the tag under my name) on the right. This means I don't work for Exetel, I am a customer like you.

Naturally, if I knew the answer unequivocally, I would post it. I don't, therefore I referred the poster to Exetel to get the information from the horse's mouth (so to speak).

Perhaps, when one of you gets the answer you might post it here.

Sure thing...

Email correspondance from Nisansala Alahakoon stated that:

1. You need to pay for any monthly VOIP Access charges. For example, the first would be free (if it's a complimentary VOIP number) & subsequent would be the usual $5 fee.
2. You need to pay for calls made.

So it's much the same as it is now.

Procedure is, when you apply to leave Exetel, make a note that you want to keep your VOIP Service numbers enabled.

On the service cancellation request form you have the option to keep VoIP number active.

Hope that helps!

Anthony.
