Re: VoIP Server down
Went down earlier this morning, needed reboot to get back up. I checked Network Status and indication was all ok, thought it a bit strange as I was aware of two servvices on different exchanges down, the other one was fixed by reboot as well.
Network Status still has green tick.

Re: VoIP Server down
Just after I posted came back up.
Re: VoIP Server down
All VoIP calls have been restored.
The engineer's are carefully monitoring all VoIP traffic, the cause of the problem is still unknown and is been investigated.

Re: VoIP Server down
Hi Martin,
My VOIP has a loud buzzing noise in the handset that is not usually there. I can hear the dial tone over the top of the buzz, but just wondering what it could be? Normal PSTN phone is OK. ADSL is OK.
Cheers,
Ian

Hi Ian,
I don't think this thread is the best place to discuss troubleshooting issues, if you PM your ADSL service number to me i can get someone to assist you further.

Ah... is the service down again? I'm not getting anything!
Re: VoIP Server down
I am getting the same, and started a thread about it. It doesn't seem down though I just checked.popper wrote:Hi Martin,

Re: VoIP Server down
VOIP seems to be back online now. What seemed to be the issue?
Re: VoIP Server down
Confirmed... good to go!
Re: VoIP Server down
We have performed an emergency software upgrading this morning, in order to resolve the VoIP stability issue.
If your VoIP service still has problem, please re-register / reboot your Modem.

Re: VoIP Server down
Reboot still gives me a registration error. My other SIP line to Pennytel works fine. What's still the go this happens too often.
Before you ask, nothing has changed with my SIP or password.

Re: VoIP Server down
Hi all,
I'm not getting any registration errors, and I can make local calls, but I can't make international calls. In fact, I have made several successful local calls, some only a few minutes ago.
I frequently call a certain mobile number in Singapore, via (1) my Exetel VoIP home line, (2) Exetel VoIP Calling card via my mobile, and (3) directly from my Vodafone (not Exetel) mobile.
Since 8:30 this morning, I have only been able to connect successfully using my Vodafone mobile (Method #3). All other connection methods (#1 and #2, all through Exetel) have failed.
I have checked, rechecked, re-rechecked and re-re-rechecked the modem. All settings are correct, including user name, password, IP address, etc., etc.
Any attempt to connect from my home VoIP line gives me a busy signal after a very long delay.
I have an Exetel VoIP Calling Card, which I use when I need to call that number using my mobile. Today, I constantly get a "number unavailable" error message from the calling card.
If I dial the number directly from my mobile, I am connected instantly.
Also, the person I was trying to call in Singapore is able to dial into my home VoIP line, (same line I am trying to use to dial out).
Any progress on the problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Best regards to all,
