On Monday last I applied to port my existing Optus mobile to Exetel.. The SIM arrived in the mail today, but I was just wondering, once I go through the activation steps, do I need to do any more with Optus in regards to cancelling account etc? Or is this taken care of by Exetel as part of the porting process.
I am not on a contract, but am on a capped plan with Optus.

It is *always* recommended that you contact the third party provider after churns and portings have been completed to ensure they close down you account. Otherwise, they might continue to bill you.
